www.photogaspesie.ca
Claude Goulet is the Founder and Artistic Director of the Rencontres internationales de la photographie en Gaspésie. The event runs from July 15 to September 15 each year, and features 25 to 50 artists from around the globe. Mr. Goulet has a long career in promoting, developing and managing visual art events.

The Rencontres mission is to help people discover photography in all its forms. It strives to support the work of the artists and its production within the diverse artistic practices in photography. The festival has established an artistic presence in the region of Gaspésie. We are committed to defending the work of artists, increasing their visibility and promoting the disciplines in which they work.

Each year’s event is an opportunity to explore a specific theme, look at a range of styles and intersecting practices, and spend time reflecting on forms of dissemination and issues related to the disciplines involved in art-making. To foster an awareness of photography, along with its language, codes and various aesthetics, we have set up a network of sites that extends over 800 kilometers, 21 locations and 13 host cities and towns.

Artists who wish to submit a project to the Rencontres photographiques should fill out our online project submission form, which they can do at any time. To ensure that your submission is on time for the following year’s edition, please submit it before November 1 of each year.
